Service of 2006 2 valve GRiSO

Hi folks. A mate has a 2 valve 2006(?) GRiSO that we want to to service. Valve clearances, TB balance, TPS reset, all oils and fluids. Is there a thread on this age GRiSO service requirements? I’ve used GuzziDiag on my 1200 Sport. I can’t remember, but does the program recognize the ECU model or do you need enter that first to interrogate? Is there an improved fuel map for this bike that I could load for him? Thanks for any assistance.

Service and tune up procedure is essentially the same as on your Sport. Valve clearances are the same, just fewer valves. TB balance procedure identical, close air bleeds, balance at 3-4,000 using the bell crank screw, kill engine, recalibrate TPS and re-start motor and equalise manifold depression at idle by opening the air bleed screw on the side with higher vacuum. Check but don't recalibrate the TPS before you start. If it is a long way from 4.6* check the throttle stop screw and linkage rod for interference.

Do you know if there are improved maps available for this engine? It has a fairly open after market muffler. Agro (Owner) says that the fuelling is a bit on and off at anything below 3000 rpm. Is this a similar thing to what the 8V was like before you Beetle’d it?

Same ECU as your Sport. Just select GRiSO 1100 in the preferences.
