| Tomorrow I get to ride a GRiSO. It's been something I have wanted to do for the past 4 years and now I finally get to. Any advice? | |

| If its your first ride on a Guzzi, you might not `get it` 'til you've done a good few hundred miles | |

It's not my first real ride on a guzzi (that would be a V7 stone), but this will be the first long ride on one. When I went out on the V7, I only had it for 30 minutes or so. The generous owner and I are going for a nice long ride outside of town. I won't be flogging it or speeding (because that would be rude and disrespectful), but i'll go fast enough to enjoy it.

| They are more addictive than Harleys, I've had more than one of those. | |

I had a couple myself (99 fat boy and a 06 sportster 883). For the first couple years, they were pretty good. Then the warranty ran out and things started to happen. Never again will I make that mistake!

| Hope you had an excellent ride. What do you think? Was it good?
I took mine out yesterday and the silly smile is still on my face!

| Well folks, I got home after a long ass day riding a GRiSO. It was fantastic good fun! Someone here mentioned I won't "get it" until i've done a couple hundred miles. I don't know how many we did, but shit was that fun.
My only complaint about the whole thing would be the bar position. It made my hands quite numb at times, so that would have to be an issue to deal with. I am not quite sure how a person would go about it; maybe some different bars with more pull back? Different sort of risers? I'm thinking different bars would be fairly easy, but I don't know how much the factory brake/clutch lines give (same goes for the wiring).
The seat was pretty good, but a bit more comfy seat wouldn't hurt. I think if I went any longer than I did today, that could potentially be an issue.
Thoughts?
A big shout out to Laker for his hospitality and generosity for letting me play with his bike. It was some damn good fun.

That's an understatement. I swear my arms are 2" longer than when I left. I did find out where the rev limiter is! [/quote]

The rev limiter? That's my shift point.

| ROX bar risers/extenders. Inexpensive fix for the bars (and in most cases will not need new cables - I didn't).
My bum thinks the stock seat is a torture device, went with the Russell Day Long - uber nice seat, especially for long runs to a rally. But seats are very personal, some folks deal with the stock seat just fine.

| You can risers and get about 1" rise/back without needing to change cables and brake lines. Glad you liked it. | |
