Does the stock headlight leave the low beam on WITH the high beam switched on ?
My aftermarket LED does exactly that ^ ( before modification) Is this "crossover" a function of the stock wiring or an internal "jump" within the headlamp
At issue is my addition of aux lights wired within the bucket has eliminated my ability to dim the headlamp.

High and low beam on stock are separate. I've installed JW Speaker 8700 Evo 2 on my GRiSO, and this has an internal wiring that leaves the low beam on while using the high beam. You probably have the same on yours...
