| I have been getting paranoid about the wear in the 1100's sidestand. The bike was leaning over a fair way.You cant buy the individual parts,so you have to buy the whole shooting box. Mount bracket, arm, pivot pin and nut ,springs and switch. Mine came with the rotary switch, they only used this one for a while. I am well aware of the risk of not having a switch.Anyhow I bought a 12mm x 40mm shouldered screw(grade 12.9) and took it to the local machinist and got him to thread the end to suit the stand (M10 x 1.25) with enough thread to accept a Nyloc nut. I also packed a 12mm flat washer either side of the bracket. No more play in the stand. Cost all up $27. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Nice work Charlie! The stuff on the right looks a whole lot healthier than the parts on the left. I have a 2014 but someone here on the site turned me on to the Baxley "Sports Chock". So, I keep my GRiSO in that when its home (which is more often than I'd like to admit). | |

| John A, yeah I have the factory stand, which Ive modified, for my 1200 and a homemade one for the 1100. They live in them when in the shed. Ideally they should have a centrestand. | |

| Lubricate it, regularly. Even so they are a shit of a thing because that pivot bolt appears to be manufactured out of a particularly soft sort of feeble sausagemeat! Puting a replaceable sintered bronze bush in the stand itself and making a bolt out of 8.8 or 1.2 would be the best option to my mind. That and lots of lube!
