I bought a used Agostini Conical in SS from another board member. He promptly shipped the pipe and it arrived in good condition. When I went to install it today I noticed that the mid pipe to silencer fit is very loose. Looking down the end of the pipe towards the mid pipe I can see a 1/16" daylight ring at the mid-pipe to silencer junction. The pipe is listed as fitting all model GRiSO bikes and, I have no doubt that the previous owner had it installed on his 2009 bike.
I seem to recall a bushing or adapter that fits between the pipe and silencer. Is that installed?

Probably the problem I didn't get that part.

I don't think I took any photos of them when I had Charlie's Agostini's. They were short (maybe 2 inch) coupling adapters to ensure a snug fit between midpipe and silencer.

I have had a conversation with Ago and I believe we have identified the missing part and they are getting me a quote.

A picture of the part and some dimensions would be amazing. If the part is crazy expensive I may just have a local fab shop make one up.

When I installed the same can on my 1100 the midpipe to silencer was tight , but I had to add on nearly 2 inches of bracket /hanger from the can bracket to the footpeg hanger. There was no way the Ago can bracket/tab would meet up right on with the Grisos footpeg bracket .. Maybe they are not all the same ,

I wonder...if your mid pipe is ok for length , perhaps where it joins into the stock system is to far inside , I cant remember for sure but when I attached the can and mid pipe as a unit I would have inserted the mid pipe with a little grease because it was a tight fit and then would have lined the can bracket up with the stock footpeg hanger and stopped there, tightened the clamp somewhat and then in my case noticed that I needed to mfg a bracket about 2 inches long from the can to the hanger to make it work. then I tightened up all the fittings and no problems since . I do know that the midpipe did not go as deep into the stock system as the Staintoon I removed my pic shows what appears to be a longer overall length and lower than yours because of the bracket I made......but then again my bike is the 1100 and Guzzi could have done something different as to the stock can and length Size of the 1200 can which was even larger that than the 1100.. Maybe this will help

You can get single use exhaust crush gaskets which will do the job.

The adapter between inlet pipe and muffler. It is made from pipe that is 1mm thick. It is 64.5 mm long. Its flared diameter is 52.4 I.D.for 28 mm . The plain diameter is 50 mm J D. The large end goes over the inlet pipe. Any car exhaust muffler shop with a pipe expander should be able to knock one up using 304 Stainless Steel in about 5 minutes flat. Hope this helps.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I can report that Agostini is a great company to work with. After a few emails back and forth the correct part was quoted and shipped. I just installed the part and all is well in the world. the part was 10euro and the shipping was 20, and I had it in two days
