Clutch life Empty

So here's the question. With a hydraulic clutch it is nary impossible to tell what the wear is on the clutch. Is there anyway to somehow visually inspect the clutch without complete disassembly to determine wear?

The only reason I ask, is that I'm leaving on a 2 week trip of the Trans Lab Highway - Newfoundland - Nova Scotia - New Brunswick in two weeks. For the Labrador section, it is pretty remote and I'd prefer not breaking down literally in the middle of nowhere. It's basically a 3200 mile trip with a fair amount of gravel.

Currently, I have about 85,000 miles on the Stelvio. The clutch doesn't slip at all. Even if pressed in top gear from a slow speed to WOT, it won't slip.

I've heard that these are basically automotive discs and that they're probably a 100,000 mile clutch. Should I just not worry about it and ride? I'm not very hard on clutches, but the bike has done a fair amount of commuting.

Grazie,

Doug

If you're easy on your clutch I wouldn't worry about it Doug. Apart from the few that have had their plates fall apart which tends to happen early I haven't replaced one yet.
