Moto Grappa Tech Days - III

Just posted this on ADVRider, but as the post had some GRiSO (and Roper & other Oz) content, I'll put it here, too.

I just finished culling my bazillion photos of this past weekend's "Moto Grappa Tech Days - III" and cobbled those into a captioned slideshow.


Yes, of course, too many pix, but that’s me.  

On the bright side, while best viewed in slideshow fashion, they first come up in “landscape collage,” meaning you can see all at once without going through them one by one. “Hover” your cursor over them to reveal captions.

Moto Grappa Tech Days is an annual (at least has been now for three years) event that brings together some Moto Guzzi owners to work — à la Tom Sawyer — on my Guzzis.

And, while feminists may groan, it’s a “no wimmen allowed” gathering. Kathi goes elsewhere (this time to Erie) because why would she (or any other lady) hang around 15 guys who mostly get greasy from wrenching motorcycles, eat lots of bad food, drink beer and bourbon, belch, tell lies, snore loudly, and worse?

Wow, Bill, it looks like it just gets better every year! Maybe I should start a West Coast version of the MGTD, good way to get some "free" service on the fleet!

Bill , that was a very entertaining photo journo! Thanks for putting in all that work. The food was amazing. How much did you gain during the tech days?

I guess I didn't get invited because of that Spine Raid anti-California meme last year, I didn't think you'd hold a grudge this long.....

Just back from an (aborted) trip to the U.S. southern tier.  Did make it to (very northern) Florida before heading home.  Anyway, back to looking more seriously at web.

Steve, no, re charging.  Maddening.  Have tried all the "usual suspects," and now branching out.  Have a secondary set of frustrated friends returning to see what we can do.

Pete, have at it.  Folks do your work and all have a fine time.

Dave, did not gain at all, which was a surprise.  OTOH, as I am already at or near GVWR for my corporeal self, might have reached limit.  

Josh, what?  I don't even remember seeing that antiCali meme.  'Course, I can't remember what I had for supper last night, either.    That said, if you did such a thing, you deserve a permanent ban from MGTD invitations.    

Seriously, that is a brain cramp on my part, arising from birth a failure to update my original local list that morphed without including other obvious folks such as you!  Consider yourself a perpetual invitee;  I'll add you to the email list that caused the problem.  Tho I likely have it somewhere in the bowels of my laptop, please PM your latest 411, especially email so I can ensure my info is up-to-date.

And, as mentioned above, we are having a follow-on mini-session to figure out the Norge's electrical gremlin(s).  Will let you know when.

Oh, before you accept, bear in mind that there is an onerous initiation ceremony that requires a medical release and pain meds.
