It has been a journey. I daren't cut into the original loom in case nanny guzzi gets upset that I want to take some control.
The new switch allows me to run the high intensity parker led as a daytime running light and having the indicator switch above the horn button is much easier to access.
The led in the switch comes on when the parkers or headlights are on giving a heads up that the daytime running lights are on.
I've run completely independant systems for brake lights, headlights, turn, and horn.
That way if necessary I can revert to orginal if I have to.
Since I'm building a long distance tourer as a mate to my Cagiva Elefant, keeping things simple means more likelyhood of keeping the bike going if things go tits up on a trip.

Beautiful work! Can you go into more detail, as to how you made the wind deflector? I have a big roll of carbon fiber cloth that a friend who used to build experimental aircraft gave me. I would love to put it to good use!
Thanks
Rick.

[b]Check out [/bhttps://www.tenere.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=855

It gives details of a carbon tank protector that I made.

This is the plug I made. I simply made a shape that looked right.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I used straight carbon parts bonded to the screen to create fixing points
one from the screen to the existing holes on the top fork brace

Two to the indicator bolts

If anyone wants I can make a shell of pigmented boat cloth that will give the shape
You'd then need to drape carbon cloth over it and clearcoat to fill the weave also work out the
fixtures.
Alternately I could just send the plug but it would cost more in postage.

Evans,

Since others may be interested I'll go public with a question as opposed to PM.
I have a plastic NACA duct to which I wish to apply a layer of carbon. Not finding consistent info online, can I just scuff and bond with west system epoxy as per fiberglass?

Cheers.
