just to add a data point,
dropped my sump today, 2013 1200se (11000kms)
the dreaded black sump gasket was there, probably originale, bike had probably never had the sump off prior.
Interestingly - I had tears on the gasket along the wall of the crankcase right next to where the previously mentioned delivery problem area is. But the delivery pickup area was all fine.
After putting it all back together, with the new green gasket, the chain rattling noise I was experiencing at idle seems noticeably quieter.
Hard to tell if there's any rattle on the over-run as the bit of tin that covers the join of the headers and the crossover pipe is rattling!

I do hope my engine hasn't been spinning with marginal oil getting to the camshaft!
