A red 2006 1100 in Tasmania.
Not here in my hands quite yet, but on the north end of the island now I believe.
Few more days should see it here in the deep south.

Great to renew my association with Guzzi's.
Had my first one in 1974, a few in between. This will be the first "modern" one.

I look forward to contributing to the community, pleased to find a GRiSO Ghetto.

cheers,
richo

Welcome to the forum Richo. Lots of knowledgeable people (not me) here, lots of good advice. Enjoy your GRiSO.

first modern one, eh?? Smile

I was pleasantly surprised by my GRiSO. Quite smooth compared to the 1984 V65 or the 1970 Ambo I had.
But it is still a Guzzi.

Yeah, 1st modern one.
First was a 1970 V7 Special. Last was a '86 Mk IV LM.

And yes, that's the bit I liked most of all; it's still a Guzzi!

UPDATE:
One red bike arrived today. Was rained upon in the first 10 minutes of riding towards the shop for inspection and then registration. A good omen.
Made an alloy number plate mounting bracket. That tail thing needs shortening or disappearing.
Freed the seized mirror adjusters.

Enjoyed the 40k ride home.

Tomorrow, a pic of the 8 year old. It's grubby and well used, cooked in the QLD sun on week days.
No more of that behaviour in Tasmania ;-)

Here we go,

Hi richo
Welcome buddy.
I have a 2006 as well but black.
These have more smile to the mile than any bike I have owned.
Went to Tassie in 1980 surfing. has to be the most picturesque Aussie state.
Long hair, Kombi van, are memories.
Enjoy those roads.

Welcome back to Guzzidom Richo.
My GRiSO was my first Guzzi from the 21st century, and is proving a revelation.
I still love giving the LM1 a regular work out, however.
Enjoy the Ghetto - great crew.

Thanks for the welcome.
One week on, 500 kiloflogs. End weights on, off, and on again.

Enjoying the ride immensely, selling the R1200GS.
Despite it's Germanic efficiency, it lacks soul, character and that indefinable quality of ownership and riding that (for me) a Guzzi possesses.

It's one of my favourites for sure.

This one from the side of the yard works pretty well too
