Hi All, I have some 'lookalike' Pazzo levers I would like to fit to my GRiSO. I fitted a similar pair to my Buell with no problems....a quick and easy bolt on job. (they were also a vast improvement on feel and comfort) Will I have any problems fitting them to the GRiSO?
Cheers, Wildhenry

Some of the cheaper varieties don't have accurate location for the clutch operated starter override "kill switch".

get the Pazzo's the GRiSO is worth it. Besides you can point them out to all the cork sniffers at the local cafe.

I've got cheap knock-offs on my G. Ebay specials for $30 for a pair. Work as well as the rip-off Pazzo or ASV levers and no problems with the clutch switch.
Just do it. The cork sniffers won't know the difference.

The above from Beetle makes my point totally mute. But .............................. modern bikes have a starter lock out so you can't start in gear ................. unless the clutch lever is pulled in.
There is a small switch under your clutch lever, there will be a small flange/tang/pin or protrusion on the lever itself, that pushes a pin/lever on the switch.
A lot of the cheap Chinese knock-offs don't have this feature engineered correctly, therefore they don't work. But Beetle said ......................

Good point. Not all knock off's have this. Make sure you get the right ones...

That was the issue. I'd seen a few knock-offs on ebay, etc, but read some reviews of poor fitment and inaccurate machining. I had the extra cash that week from the two liquor store heists, so there you have it. If you find the brand of the good cheapies, go for it.

OFGS, might someone here share the King's Secret of which knock-offs are "the right ones?"
BTW, as long as were studying wine corks, I find this vid at least as relevant as the other offering.

Bump.
Very interested in "the [cheap] right ones."
Can someone point to one or more examples, please?
Thanks ...

I'm always a bit wary of ebay sellers in China, but at that price, I suppose it's not a bad gamble. They do look good quality in the photos.

The Chinese ones in the ebay link are very good. The company supplied on line tracking from the factory to my door. You have to swap over the clutch switch push rod but they are well made and work fine.

Just ordered some Pazzos (black/long) for the GRiSO. One thing I'm not crazy about is the lever feel of the brakes. I hope this will improve it!

Just fitted the levers bought from China ebay on this thread. The levers look good and fit ok. Obviously not same quality as the originals eg no brass/bronze bushing in the pivot holes but not bad.
I did notice when doing the clutch lever. I set the distance to a 10th of a millimetre the plunger dimension from the original. I found that the free play (rocker) was gone from the clutch lever. Using a mark one calibrated eyeball. The "pivot" holes don't line up exactly on the Chinese lever.
The grub screw was backed off and plunger dimension adjusted with a straight blade to achieve the complete return of the master cylinder. and locked up
The locking grub screw. To release it. I removed the lever , placed a brand new 1.5 mm alan wrench in the grub screw. Holding the lever I applied heat with a small plumbers butane torch to the grub screw area and gently leaned the end of the alan wrench against my work bench. After only seconds the locking glue went soft and the locking screw wound out easily. Woohoo
Sorry if my description seems patronising to the technically minded/experienced in this thread. Just thought I would share my " nothing is ever simple" experience

Exactly the way I'd attack it.
BTW Mike the pipe you're after is available as part of a three way deal.
