| I've discovered a slight blow at the LH exhaust header pipe, so I plan to remove both pipes and replace the header gaskets. First time doing this job. My question is, can I re-use the two gaskets that are down at the collector pipe (2 into 1) or should these also be replaced? I have some new solid brass nuts and lock washers for the header pipe re-assembly [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Thanks for any advice offered! | |

| As long as the clamps haven't been over-torqued you can re-use them if they retain their integrity, they usually do.
The trick with the manifold to head gaskets is to not over tighten the nuts and then re-torque them a couple of times after a few heat cycles.

I don't think the exhaust has ever been disturbed from new, except the original end can being replaced for a Termi. I'm assuming everything else is still as it were from the factory.
