AP8102502 Helmet lock cable, How to use it?

I see this cable on page on page 26 of the parts book. How do you use it?
I dont remember getting one when I bought my GRiSO, perhaps its under the seat, packed
with the worthless tool kit...

Any ideas?

It was in my tool kit. Black cable with gray rings on the end. Works by threading through a helmet strap d-ring and onto a bent/twisted pin welded under the seat on the left side. Works ok, but I'm not a fan of how it hangs the helmet over the muffler (pretty hot after a ride).

Mine was in the not completely useless tool kit. The spark plug tube spanner is functional.

The 6mm studs just screw right in to the ends of the bar, they work great!

I use my helmet cable a bit - like Jose, I wasn't keen on it hanging over the muffle, but if you thread it through the D-ring, it hangs from the fixing point he describes over to the other side... over the swingarm.

Worked fine on the V7C until I got a helmet with no chin strap. Now just pretty

I used to work in a not-so-nice area of NYC. I parked the GRiSO near work and used the helmet lock cable described.

When I came back a vandal had deposited a McDonalds pancake in my upturned helmet.

I kept my helmet on my desk after that.
