| Today I finally got around to getting a Torque wrench that measured low enough for the average nut / bolt on a bike. Wow, just wow, for years I have done up nuts / bolts according to how important they are to my me. If it is an ancillary hand tight and a twist. If it is holding a fork to the bike then tight, followed by bloody tight. I went around the bike to day just checking, I would like to state now that yes I am a gorilla......I was way out of what is needed, I mean the fork to triple clamp bolts are from 18 - 20 NM. I cannot imagine how much i had on it, but I would say my history of stripping and re-coiling would provide evidence to the fact that it may have been a tad tight.  | |

| Considering there is some exhaust blowing back out the top of the 2 into 1 exhaust connection from the top pipe, probably not as tight as they used to be. I did try to tighten it up some more but can't seem to stop the leak.
It's not bad and the bike runs great. Anyone know if this is something to be concerned about? I will probably replace the clamp soon anyway but if it's not that big of a deal, I'd let it slide for a bit.

| I know I am heavy handed - I have broken many things - I went a got a tourque wrench a while back [ it just confirmed what I already knew ]  So you are not alone!  | |
