At 83000 miles I decided to replace the alt belt , first replacement was at an independent euro bike shop to the tune of $375 . 3 hours labor and the rest for the Guzzi OEM belt. This one I did myself , I ordered the Gates belt recommended on this site and followed the thread here describing the process. Two things I would add to the thread and that is; pull off both side covers to access the belt tensioner on the right side and to access the alt. pivot bolt on the left side . I had a friend assist me because a second set of eyes is helpfull . Start to finish was one hour. Gates belt was $17.total cost was $17 plus one tall PBR for Paul. Yo Happy Trails Markus Arealius
