Beetle map for 1200Sport 4V?

I have a sweet 2010 four valve 1200 Sport (low mileage, one previous owner) and it's up for rollerising. Basically this will be a C kit job, and I have a mechanic who has done this before, with the work-around that makes it slightly less expensive. However I believe a re-map is also required once this is done, and if I remember forum discussion, the factory remap is not well thought of. So this seems like a good chance to buy Beetle's version (the GuzziDiag settings?) if you have them for this model. (Most discussion, naturally enough, is on Grisos.)  I'm in central Scotland, so UK or local experience would be relevant, plus any other advice or suggestions along with the links and info that will make a download possible.

You'll need the 1200 Sport "D" kit.

There are no special settings for the Sport. GuzziDiag has a 1200 Sport option.

I haven't heard of a Sport D kit? The marks on the engine block suggest C.

No, he was right Mark. As a 2010 bike it will be a 'C' Kit bike. The 'D' Kit is solely for the later, post 2011 bikes with the later type rocker cover and cambox design. The Sports all need the heads to come off for valve shimming which is why the later ones have the dedicated 'D' Kit. I know of no explanation for this as every other model's engine had the new springs or shims installed ex factory after the end of 2010. Only thing I can think is the different cam profile of flat tappet Sports.

Oh, an added benefit of using mark's Sport map is you'll end up with an accurate speedo rather than one that reads ten to fifteen kph too fast!

The 1200 Sports have an absurd speedo correction factor. Presumably to make people who thought they'd bought a 'Sports' bike not feel cheated!

If only the speed camera agreed!
