Just to cover myself before i begin YOU said ANY input....

I dont know your experience with older Tonti's. But in my view the G5 nails it.

Tonti Standard
1000 (949 cc) small valve with 30mm dellortos, more cc the T and T3
proven bulletproof platform
3 brembo equipped discs for solid braking even 2 up.
5 speed manual.
Bigger than some but not the stretched Cal II.

I feel it is the epitome of the Tonti Standard. So comfortable. Tourable. Will hit the ton when sorted. Just a great simple bike.

Mines got 105k on the clock and doesn't seem to want to stop. Won club choice at a 120 bike "Rockers Run' vintage meet last summer. Did't know it was entered. We're 'neighbors', havent seen an area listing lately. 4500 should indicate turnkey operation and then some, in my view.

If there’s a strike/something to eyeball, it’s the shifter. The peg location on the G5 (if unmolested) was forward of the norm, because they just threw an alternate lower rail on a convert. This meant they needed a ridiculous long shift lever. You can see it in my photo pretty clearly. The throw in these trannies is pretty long and fatigue of the casting was possible. A farmers boy with a welder would set you up right quick if needed.
