| Like a few guys on here, I'm trying to figure out the right aftermarket pipe for my G11. Agostini has a few interesting offerings but finding detailed pictures online is like looking for Jimmy Hoffa. The ones out there are taken from weird or extreme angles, which make matters worse. Yes, I'm talking to you Agostini company website...
I've read the Agostini and Exhaust threads here. The Ago HF is now burned into my head as "The Horse's Hoof" and every time I look at it, I see the analogy. I thought I found a winner but I'm shaken now. I think it looks right, as it contours the tire and breaks before wrecking the lines on the tail section but it does look like a darn hoof. But again, the pics I've seen are shot at crap angles.
The X-Black is a close second for me. I like the way it looks off the bike but the few pics of it mounted that I've seen looks like the angle is pitched too high. Again, there are only a few pics out there and it's hard to tell. Reverse cone Ago looks ok too but again, the angle is too high. Arrow seems to have the angle spot on but can you say boring?
So where am I going with this? Does anyone have normal pics of the X-Black or HF (black would be nice) mounted on their GRiSO and willing to share? It would really help me with my buying decision.
Thanks. | |

| Why do people bother with off the shelf parts, that at least in the buyers eyes, is not quite right? "Beauty is in the behind of the holder", or in this case, the designers of all above mentioned creations.
S-O-P, if you have a specific design/shape/length/colour etc. why not commission a motorcycle custom exhaust shop to create it for you. That way you get what YOU want and there will never be another like it. |

| Sorry man, I don't have a GRiSO and there is even less choice of pipes for my Bellagio, so I commissioned a pipe maker to build what I wanted. Just trying to encourage you to do the same. Give it 48 hours for the weekend hangovers to subside and photos you require will appear. In the mean time, here's mine. | Nice exhaust, really. I hear where you are coming from but sometimes it's easier to buy an aftermarket pipe that's been tested and designed to work vs. custom. I'm sure I can get one made but getting it to work properly with my bike is another story. Obviously it worked for you. Congrats.

| Just pulled the trigger on the Ago HF in black. I think it will look good on my black GRiSO 1100. If not, you'll see it on the Sell board... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| After a few days, just got my pipe from Italy. It is a work of art. Didn't know if I would like it but it's really beautiful. I put the pipe in and fired it up. Sounds wicked and looks the part. Didn't put in the cat yet and with all my throttle thumping, I got a service warning on my dash. Hopefully I'll be able to sort it out.
There is a particular metal noise when revving that I'll need to look into as well. Not sure how to describe it except it sounds like something is loose or vibrating, even though everything is rock solid. Will check it out more tomorrow. Again, couldn't be happier with looks- now onto performance.

| check your mid pipe for a crack between the two into 1 pipe, and check your header bolts | |

| Try re-setting the trims by disconnecting the battery or pulling the main 30A fuse. This may help with the service warning. If it recurs stop the engine with the kill switch and go into the OBD and report any active faults.

| After being sick for a week, I was finally able to start my bike today. ECU code 56 was the culprit for the service message. Must have been some condensation from my unheated Midwestern garage that screwed with the speedo sensor. After a minute of idling, the dash was bleeping a bunch of false speeds and then fell to zero. Warning message gone... Blasted the bike around the area and was pleased with the upgraded sound. Bike felt much stronger than before but it was my first ride this year, so who can say? The exhaust makes a husky ripping sound, which I'm really digging. Once the engine is spun up to 5 grand and above, the note gets loud and downright hooliganistic! On deceleration, the exhaust does backfire slightly. It's running too rich, right? I've never tuned my bike and I'm not sure my mechanic really knows his way around the TPS and such. I bought a GT 02-Optimizer from Guzzitech over the winter and will pop it in soon. That may help until I can read everything on this site for setting up a PC connection. Now for the metal noise. Heating the exhaust helped a little bit but there's something still not quite right. From shaking the can, it seems tight. I held the carbon tip when it was running and didn't feel anything loose or weird vibration when playing with the throttle. Maybe it's just a wind noise echoing at the end or some other turbulence. I'm thinking of putting the Cat in and seeing if that makes a difference. Maybe I should try to record the sound. Here's a crap picture I took with my iPhone. Better pictures to come later. Still waiting for my Lightech mirrors... | |

| I've just finished a $7,500 rebuild on an engine fitted with an O2 sensor Fooler and that bike still needs new throttle bodies to run right. Sticking a variable resistor in the O2 sensor line is a very unwise move in my book. It's also a horrid kludge.

| Stoked - don't do it - get a "Beetle Map" as this is the correct way to go. Throw your O2 trickster in the bin, the best thing you can do for your bike | |

| Pete, are you saying that the O2 fooler trashed that guys engine? And for $7,500, can't we just go and buy a new engine??? I've only heard good things about the 02 fooler, hence my purchase. GuzziTech's unit is suppose to work with our ECU unlike the DUC O2 Emulator. Hell, I guess if it's going to damage my bike beyond repair that it's best to go the right way and upgrade the map. Next rainy day I'll read the posts. Since putting the cat in, it seems to backfire a lot more... The metallic noise seems to be gone since I replaced the cat. Must have changed some of the airflow. It's still nice and obnoxious though. If anyone wants to hear my bike with the slip-on off, check it out at: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Don't mind the junk on the floor. | |

| Yup, that's exactly what I'm saying. And what makes one variable resistor different to another? They are both the same thing. Perhaps the Guzzitech one is sprinkled with fairy dust?
New motor here for a Stelvio is 12.5K
These things seem to work OK-ish with bikes that use the 15M. Using them with the W5AM is fraught with danger and they are still a horrible kludge.....

| Is the "metallic vibration" the inner header pipes vibrating against the outers? Pull the 2 into 1 collector off and see if there is a mark at the end showing movement | |

| In regards to the O2 fooler, Todd convinced me that his unit was designed for the W5AM unlike the Duc fooler. I guess I'm the only one getting fooled.
Charlie, I can hear that noise at the exit of the slip-on? Should I still check the crossover? I believe it to be very tight to header and slip-on. Weather here still sucks so I can't put a ton of miles on the bike, so when it gets warmer, I'll flog it and see if heating it up changes anything.

| You would have thought I fell of the face of the earth but in actuality, I haven't posted due to being diagnosed with stomach cancer. Just finished radiation treatment and starting to feel better. The weather in the Midwest has been miserable. Lots of rain and cool temps on my days off along with feeling like crap.
The first time in months, I recentle took out my GRiSO for a short 20 minute ride. With my new Shark helmet, I couldn't hear the rattle but the exhaust sounded nice. Bike seems smoother and looks way better in my opinion. I'm really liking the setup.
In the next month, I'll leave a better review after doing a longer trip. That should tell the tale. Then on to modding as I got my plugs/wires in.
