New to the Ghetto

I've been having a bit of a sticky beak at the Ghetto since getting my white 2012 GRiSO in July but this is my fist post. I've put about 5000 kms on the GRiSO and having a ball. I live in Kyogle but staying at Dungog in the Hunter Valley for work.
GRiSO came about after my Triumph Sprint was submerged in the Dungog floods - bit of a treat after a tough time.
I have the good fortune of a daily 50 km ride to work over to Gloucester with a nice set of corners over Stroud Hill. Not so joyous are the cold mornings, fog and concerns about getting the GRiSO up to a decent temp. Still, the ride back in the afternoon is great.
A couple of trips up to see the family in Kyogle have tested the touring capabilities but I'm more than happy
This is not the first Guzzi I've owned - had a Mark IV LeMans for about 6 years.
Already learnt a heap from the Ghetto and expect I'll learn lots more. Keen to do servicing myself so I'll probably be throwing a few questions out there.

BTW you may be aware of the Guzzi Rally just north of Gloucester in a few weeks.
There will certainly be a number of the GRiSO 'enlightened' at the Rally.

Even a mini Cabal, so to speak, with Mr Bob, CharlieJ, MalG and moi being there from Wednesday, Ron sometime after. PRoper is threatening to be in town (Gloucester) either Thursday or Friday night. Wardest is threatening from Thursday. I think MarkIII and some others will also be there. Ian, you coming down?

Yessiree, alcohol will be involved to a large extent. All welcome.

Thanks for the words of welcome. After copping it for most of my life the 'Welcome Matt' joke still makes me smile.
Kyogle is a great area to live for the rides but, unfortunately, working away from home means I don't get to enjoy it much and work is likely to mean an imminent move. At the moment I'm making the most of the roads around Dungog/Gloucester.
