| So.....after being relieved to find I had the correct filter in my GRiSO, I set off to Spain and guess what? The ******g pipe came off whilst overtaking a line of cars... Luckily someone left a gap big enough that I could coast through to the side of the road. If I could have got hold of the bloke who designed this pump/filter assembly I might have had to shout at him..... One recovery truck ride to Jaca and a top bloke called Pedro (honest) in a little bike shop saw me on my way again.....then the right hand rocker box gasket let go in a big way.....wouldn't have believed how much it leaked.... At least my right boot and trouser leg are now fully waterproof...... Next morning saw me testing my Spanish trying to buy some card to make a temp gasket - made it back home without further mishap....unless losing the rubber pad on the sidestand kickdown arm counts.... Still enjoyed the trip though....that sort of bike |

| Ha...yeah...."eventful" just about covers it... ;-)
There was a piece of rubber under the bolts on the sidestand kick down arm keeping it from rattling about like it does now!!! Not sure I have a pic that shows it but will check |

| Aprilia RS250 chassis, Yamaha RZ250 engine with a +4mm stroker crank and a monobloc cylinder increasing bore by 19mm. 58 x 73 = 485cc.
The BST carbon wheels on my Bellagio were actually meant for this baby, must of had the wrong bike on the work stand. I will finish the little Ape before I die, but currently searching for a set of forks and triples off a Multistrada 1100 ............................ Bella is my stock (?) everyday ride, apparently.
I could have bought 2 brand new GRiSO's for the cost of these two babies, oh well, there's always plan B. |
