There's still one at Mystery Bay as well. No reception there so it's handy for the feral campers when they set fire to themselves!

Interesting.
Some young folks might think those are "porta-potties" without doors!
Curious, I looked for a pay-phone locator on the web. Found several, and learned that quite a number are still around, but nothing like the old days ... and none are near us.

Went up to Woodstock, and picked up my Tenni Got the "Kit Timing 'A' Transformation", gratis! Jim said everything else inside looked spotless! Note to all Grisos with high pipes! Check your air filters more often, as the snorkle opening is inches from the exhaust outlet - bad in traffic/slow speeds!
Saw your Rosso Bill - ready to ride! Asked Jim how she ran, "pretty good" was his reply Saw your new ride, Wangi. Parked next to the boss's 1100/1200/1400? Gris.
Donated towards Jim's 'New Look '16'
It's 60F and sunny, I'm off to check out my 'Transformed' GRiSO!!

It's in the hills Tony, where your sister is also your Aunty and your wife. The locals are probably scared of it.

GRiSO took me for a 900k loop thru the hinterlands of northern NSW, woke up rested, after staying overnight in a friendly Gnomes house. Didn't see any Telstra Tardis's though.

Have been on the bikes quite a bit for a cold, snowy winter. The GRiSO didn't see much action waiting for the new gas tank.
Had a very nice sunny February day with temps in the 50's (10's C). Bike ran well. Had a great ride.

1. What color is your GRiSO? The pic's lighting makes it hard to see.
2. New rear tire soon?
Today was gorgeous in the midatlantic USA, with temps nudging 70F.
Unfortunately, my GRiSO, tho now rollerized, is 800 miles away, and my Norge is "undressed" on the lift. The EV was willing, but eroded-ravine-filling chores called, so I "rode" our little tractor instead.

Springs nearly with you Bill! Hang in there! Soon you'll be able to put all the good pieces together.
Tenni green is the color. Nah, the tyres good, just the white road dust makin it look a bit smooth. Need a better camera.

Hey Trev, there is a (working) Telstra Tardis outside the Wellborough Pub! No cell reception here, great steaks and cold beer. -and of course its in the middle of 100 miles of twisty mountain roads I had been lamenting the fact that I couldn't contact Beautiful Future Ex-wife informing her that I was still alive over lunch, and only eventually noticed said 'device' in use, once helm had been fastened, and oil was flowing, and we all know that you need a VERY good reason to back that process up, and I was only an hour away after all....
I am happy to report that I am still alive... just

The wife (on her GRiSO) and me on the Ballabio went up to the New Hampshire Guzzi breakfast on Sunday morning. On the way up (we were running a bit late) there was no traffic on the highway so we stretched the legs on the two of them. We averaged around 90 mph and hit a max speeds of about 130mph a couple of times over the course of about 50 miles. It had been a while since the Ballabio had been cleaned out like that and it was great fun. The ride home later was more of the same. They both ran flawlessly.
When we got back, Jacquie checked her fuel mileage and even after a flogging like that, the GRiSO returned around 40 mpg.
The two before being put away at the end of the ride. Great day of riding.
Reminds me of Karen Blixen's line in "Out of Africa," amended to "I had a Ballabio in Atlanta ..."
On the bright side, planning to show up with truck & trailer at Rose Farm Classics this coming Friday, 4 March, to retrieve my GRiSO.
Bringing along John Wells-- a Guzzisti -- as my personal security detail. Our wives were suspiciously happy to approve of this dangerous mission behind enemy lines.
Bill
P.S. JW's a cannoneer, too; see

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Short rides three days in a row! An unfortunate boiler problem at the home front quashed any chances of making it to breakfast in NH. Maybe next month. Photo taken Sunday at Out Look Farm in Westhampton Mass.
