When I last spoke with Jim B at Rosefarms, he mentioned you had your GRiSO ported by some guru in Michigan. I am now curious, have you noticed any change? Put her on a dyno? Also, who was the guy who ported it?
My '12 Tenni, now rollered by Jim, mapped by Beetle, runs so very sweet. A new Norge 8V may be in my future, if another red Italian bike sells out of my garage. My kids (now out of the home ) say dad has too many bikes. Is that a thing? Geez, I am holding steady at only 10 in the garage...
It would be nice to meet you on the road this year! Between my Pop, my little brother, and myself, we have served in all FIVE of the US Armed Forces. Thank YOU, and all vets here for your, and your families' sacrifices!!
My gal & I are planning a Ride out West(SD,WY,CO)late June - which bike to take...Norge sure would be nice 2-up + luggage

The GRiSO and Norge make a great pair. I picked up a lightly used '14 Norge recently for the bargain price of $7500. It's a super comfy 2-up tourer and almost as much fun as GRiSO. Here is my dynamic duo:

Just back from visiting grandkids at Fort Bragg, and need a few days to recover from that pandemonium.  I am only partially kidding.  Lordy.

Thanks Pete. I take it my pics were upside down again. Odd, because they were always right-side-up on my iPad.    I remember a day when Apple products never did me wrong.

More apologies, Mike and all (who care).

Still behind here in chores of all kinds -- including, Pete, I swear , trying to find the right box to launch the OEM screen. Got in my Dart Marlin, and hoped its box would do, but not. Going to take it to UPS today for them to fabricate one.

Also have various bureaucratic chores pounding on me; no details, as would bore anyone 'cept me, and I can barely stay awake doing them but for the terror of failure.

As for port, fine stuff, tho I, too, am an Old Flatulent.

Back to the pile of deeds to be done.

Apologies for the much-delayed response.  Moreover, “response” may go to far as I doubt this mere reply will be very helpful.

That never stops me, so …

But, first, this has somehow morphed into a port-of-the-drinking-sort thread.  

In that vein, I like the stuff but rarely have it.  I last remember something by Ficklin and thought it fine.  Though, as such often follows -- and did in that instance -- an ... erm ... ample meal with all sorts of before, during, and after beverages of various proofs, memory does not always serve.  But, see [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

As for the GRiSO's porting, Bruce Blake is the guru.  More accurately, Bruce Blake WAS the guru.  He died of a (mercifully) fast-acting cancer last summer.  

Jim B had recommended him to me as The Guy to rebuild my Norge’s HyperPro rear shock.  Bruce was incredibly patient with me in explaining what he would do and what the result would be.  And, the price was surprisingly right, too.

When my GRiSO was at RFC — and when you saw it — Jim B had suggested having Bruce “port” it.  Even tho then (and now) I really had/have no idea what that really meant/means, I said “sure; have at it.”

Now, have I noticed a difference?

The only data I have is anecdata, supported only by my butt’s dyno.  

That said, YES!  While beetle’s map still awaits installation — I can explain, Mark … OK, I’ll just confess I am an IT coward and am waiting for Pete to visit again, yell at me for being a luddite of all sorts, and do it for me!

Seriously, I really think I can tell the difference.  Now, bear in mind, of course, with all the other usual disclaimers understood — e.g., had not ridden it for months while it was at Jim’s spa and it had also been "r’ized,” etc. — the thing is a beast.  

Come ride it and tell me, an offer, btw, to any GRiSO riders out there who may see this and be nearby. Not looking for my vanity's affirmation, but am genuinely curious.

P.S.  Would be great to have you visit sometime.  Always a spare bedroom for you and SO.  Uhm, let’s not mention MJ, OK?    Do tell her hi if you see her.  As for a Norge … go for it.  I love my GRiSO and EV, but the Norge is the “big Trip” bike.

Quick note on the upsidedown pictures, I have had the same thing happen when viewing photos taken with an iphone on a windos PC. It is common and it is a product of how you actually take the photo, I had to fool around but enventually discovered I have to take the photo holding the camera / phone in a certain position. Google let me in on the info just can't remember exactly how I worked it out but it now works for me if I hold the phone with the big round button to the right, if you get my drift.

I've always preferred Jameson, but not for religious reasons. What a silly way to choose a whiskey!

Having long known about the Jamesons vs. Bushmill religious significance, I've always opted for the Jamesons on sheer principle... Even though I was raised a good protestant lad, I tend to root for the home team...

Corporations hedge their bets though, the same parent company owns both Jamesons and Bushmills.
