Each to their own. I don't see the GRiSO as a 1960's motorbike so I don't either want or expect its clocks to look like they're pretending to be a set of Smiths Chronometrics. I certainly don't find the dashboard offensive. The ones used on Sports, Breva and Norges do look a bit busy and cluttered but the unit used on Grisos, Stelvios and a heap of Aprilias I find have a minimalist charm and tell me all I need to know with an adequate degree of accuracy.

As I said though these things are really very much a matter of personal taste.

Exactly as you say personal taste is all that's involved in customising a bike.

I knew two years ago that the GRiSO, with it's lines, was the bike I wanted as a mate to my 900 Cagiva Elefant, which I've rebuilt and modified, from the ground up.

All the work I'm doing is wank except the roller conversion.

However it's a buzz when people off the street are stopping by to admire her.

I love the GRiSO as much as I expected to and am trying to improve the aesthetics of something that's already great.
