| [quote="guzziownr"]I have one of those. The rubber snorkel seems to be there to reduce noise. I put a grill in mine to keep the squirrels out of the airbox.
just what I was thinking!

| bike is REALLY growing on me
done around 500kms this weekend..
mmmmmmm nice!
the engine is an absolute gem
will be heading off on a long one shortly
think I'll lower the pegs then
Another question
aim to refuel at around 200kms is that right?
I have been refuelling each 150km but that might be a bit conservative.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Hey guzziownr, Nice grill! Where did it come from? (How do I get the material you used?) Moto P.S. That's a beautiful photo.

| The screen on the air box looks like the material that’s common in the US that’s used to keep leaves out of rain gutters.....that material comes in aluminum, painted, or plastic. Cost about $4 per 3’ section. You could make about 10 at least. | |

200km is a reasonable target. If you've cruising/touring, 230 is where I would seriously start looking for fuel. If you're running one of my maps, 18km/l is about average, with sensible throttle use. If you're in silly mode, 180-190km.

| by the way, I took the slack out of the throttle cables today... your map is sweeeet!!!!! the jerkiness I was experiencing was all down to sloppy throttle cables.. cheers | |
