My 1200 8v won't run on left pot,new plugs and have spark cleaned injection getting fuel, still won't run on 2 pots. Right cylinder is running fine. Help please .

Hi I have ngk plug caps fitted. So hopefully not, I'll replace them and see what happens.

Do a search on Spark Plug Cap and you’ll find plenty of info there. It’s a pretty often occurrence.

Was it running fine and then suddenly dropped a cylinder or did it just not fire on that cylinder when you first tried to start it?
It does sound like it a typical shorting plug cap but if they have been swapped out that has probable been covered.
A few other questions. Has it been rollerised? How many miles has it traveled? Were there any symptoms before it quit? Was it pulling cleanly to redline?

Was running fine, parked up for 20 minutes then just stopped running on the left cylinder. I was just back from a week in the Highlands of Scotland ran perfectly, was rollerised end of 2020 in a guzzi dealer. Mileage is 17000mls,never been to the redline. Got me puzzled.

It may of never been to redline but what happens at about 6,000rpm if you're trying to accelerate hard? Does it feel like you've suddenly run out of puff regardless of what gear you're in?
You're confident it has fuel and spark? On the side that has failed you can still see a spark if you hold the plug to the head and spin the motor?
If the answer to this is yes then the next step would be a compression test. Disconnect the injectors, throttle wide open and you should get about 175-180 psi.
I'm still not confident it's a mechanical issue, it sounds too sudden and the fact it started after the engine was stopped is still making me think spark as the likely culprit but let's rule out the nasties by the easiest means possible then you can go back to concentrating on the little things.

Check wires are plugged in tight to coils, I seen them unplug but still intact in boot.
