SE tape stripe replacement, faux sure!

Title tells it. Made a template and cut some out of faux carbon wrap.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Looks pretty good. My stripes are starting to peel.

Fun fact: You only have to make one template. Flip it over to make the opposite side.

You have to be careful trying to get the old ones off. There is a clear coat on top of the originals at least on my 2014. I replaced mine early on before I ended up lining a new - used tank with expoxy so ethanol gas wouldn’t make it swell again. Those new carbon fiber tape ones look great.

I used a hair dryer to warm the tape while slowly pulling it off, lighter fluid to clean up afterwards.  I am hoping that the tank is done expanding after eight years.
