2229GRS8V68 -> very good, but never homogolated
2230G803 -> last and final version. In all 8V GRiSO's since 2010.
Thank you! That was quick!
Is there a way to find out which version is installed right now? I got all the software and cables for GuzziDiag and Reader/Writer...
I'll for sure get a map from you. Thats on the ToDo List. I saw the map for the Arrow muffler on your website. My GRiSO hat only the muffler, with the stock pipes and a original MG airfilter with snorkle installed.
Is the final G803 version any good?
Kind Regards,
Stephan

What year model is your bike? If it's newer than 2010 it will have the last version installed, (Unless it has previously been remapped.). Note that the two earlier versions are designed, (Poorly.) for the flat tappet motor and will work even worse in a bike with a roller top end. The 68S was also built for flat tappets but seems to work OK-ish with the roller top end but it's still not optimal. The 03 map works with both top ends but the fact it does shows what a wishy-washy compromise it is and it's fairly lack lustre.
Of course if your bike is a flat tappet model that has to be addressed prior to thinking about mapping.

Mine is from 2007 and it was rollerized.
If it was ever remapped..? I don't know. I assume, it wasn't.
When i got it, it was so badly out of balance, it was like a wild ride on an angry horse. That got fixed.
Greetings!

You are sure it was rollerised? There was an actual earlier recall that installed new cams and flat tappets on the very early bikes. This was NOT the required swap to a roller top end. You may of course know all this but it's worth confirming it and reinforcing the point as any flat tappet bike is a ticking time bomb.

Now I just need to know, if the latest stock map is good or not.

The latest stock mapping is OK, some people seem quite happy with it but it is to my mind gutless and unimpressive, especially in the lower and mid rev range. Like most of the factory maps it is too rich in many areas outside of closed loop so it tends to feel 'Soft' in its power delivery.

I ran that map for probably 6 years on my 2014 with the stock pipe. It seemed OK to a rider who hadn't ridden in many years. Then one day I stalled the Beetle map for the stock pipe and wow, no more popping on deceleration and overall a much better performance. Another year went by and I put on an MIVV muffler and that map seems excellent for it too. Definitely worth doing IMHO.

Tested connection with GuzziDiag and IAWReader yesterday and it worked fine. Silly me was trying to upload the map to my laptop with the wrong Reader Version, which took some time to figure out [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] But with the correct version: no issue. Next step will be valve clearance and balancing. A friend gave me his unused TwinMax. Lets see how that works. I made a balancing device myself [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Can't wait to see how those two compare.
Its freezing cold here (-6°C or 21°F for the US-Folks).. so no test ride in sight really.
