Fuel range

I found that the biggest improvement to fuel range is to get the tank FULL. I'm used to filling my previous bikes on their kick stands and not topping up too much for fear or spilling fuel all over everything. On the GRiSO that only gets me 80 miles to the fuel light.

Straddling the bike to keep it upright at the pump and getting it right up to the top gets me to about 120 miles before the light comes on.

on the sidestand? Avoid that.

Yeah I also try fill with the bike upright., unfortunately here they sometimes get a little upset at times if you try that.
I usually just ignore them then prepare for the argument when they ask me to remove be my helmet.
Years ago in order to keep my hands free I left the helmet on the bike and it got nicked while I was paying for fuel, so now it stays on

I've been averaging 160-165 to the fuel light and when refueling end up putting 4.1 gallons (bike upright not on side stand). Is the real total capacity 4.4 gallons or is there some reserve as well? Today I put in 4.2 at 189 miles..... cutting it close! I hate adjusting to a new bike.

On a trip I can regularly get 230 kms to the fuel light. That all goes out the window if you venture north of 4000 rpm when cruising. Only once did I get close to the Magic 300 kms, 296 achieved. Put a bit more than 16 litres in at the bowser. I fill up sooner now

I'm getting 210-220 km's before the light on average and that with a heavy duty right wrist. It's just overly tempting to feel the surge of power
