GRiSO gender?

Thus far the only word that always comes out when talking about it has been "the beast"...gender neutral, and a fairly accurate description (I feel) of this machine....who knows if it will stick or if I'll just refer to it as the GRiSO?

All of my other bikes have been girls. But the GRiSO? The GRiSO is called GB, short for Gentleman Bastard, perfectly civilized until twisted and then the bastard comes out.

I just had a shot of grappa in my caffè, have an entire rock garden of pet rocks, and thus am compelled to emote on the subject of "gender."

No, not to worry, this isn't a rant about the latest shixstorm (in the U.S., anyway) about who can use what latrine.

Instead, it's about the use of the word "gender" instead of "sex."

I am not sure when that prissiness began, but suspect it was in the '70's, when all sorts of touchy-feely became trendy.

In any event, I find it amusing and maddening that in an age when the "F word" is ubiquitous, we pussyfoot (NPI) around the word "sex."

Oddly, the U.S. Constitution uses the word "sex," but "gender" has left its (correct, in my view) confines of declension and conjugation, and become the term for distinguishing men from women … and other categories that need not to be addressed just now.

Don't get me started on "graduated high school."

Whilst I didn't think that I genderfy my GRiSO, I do have the word 'strumpet' printed on my number plate frame.

The Minister for War & Finance occasionally refers to GRiSO as "that Italian whore".

It is really impossible to reconcile the GRiSO's 2 images: on the one hand the tough scary "real" man, like this:

I could never imagine how these 2 extremes can be combined, but apparently it is possible. A brilliant Italian designer managed to create the GRiSO:
