It's not something you can do with the tools that came with your lawnmower but it's not rocket science either. If you have decent tools and half a brain it's not a huge challenge.

If you take it to a shop two hours plus oil and filter should cover it.

This happend on my Sport, dropping both parts of the sump off is easy enough - need to remove the oil filter (I think; bottom sump will come off with filter in place). I think it was the top most gasket that had blown apart. There are some pipes to disconnect and a torque wrench is vital and a bit Hylomar or equivalent.

there's loads of bolts

The fun bit is trying make sure you have all the missing bits of gasket

OK. So I opened the bottom of the engine yesterday...
Sure enough, that stupid spacer sump to block gasket was blown.
Slapped a new one and everything is tits now. Thumbs Up
Engine noise is gone and no more blinking oil light at idling.

Not a hard job to some that know how to wrench, just time consuming...
I did it with the bike on the ground but you'll need to secure it up straight as the side stand has to be loosened due to 2 bolts going to the spacer and to get to those bolts, you will have to remove the left exhaust pipe (very easy to do).
On the other side, you'll have to remove the 2 lower bolts that secure the oil cooler to the spacer sump.

Didn't take many pics but I'll post some later...

Thanks to you as well Sir...
Your one thread took all the guessing away and I'd never figured it out on my own.
That's the power of the ghetto. Thumbs Up
