Useful or useless ?

CTek do a similar connector for their chargers which I have on my bike. I use it to keep an eye on the state of the battery, it just has a green, orange or "you're stuffed" light. I have found it handy on occasions especially when away from home and if you are carrying the charger with you.

Not sure if the range is big enough and if the device consumption is acceptable.

Just saw this thread. Battery Tender sells a small unit that plugs into an SAE connector. It has a digital display with a .1 volt resolution and three colored LEDs for a course range of voltages.
My 2 cents.

That's what I thought -but it's not.
It rarely connected to my phone, even standing right in front of the device. Now part of the "useless stuff"-pile in my garage...

I know this is an old thread but
Just reading my GRiSO owners book.. Mad

Apparently you can get the dash to display voltage and charge rate ?
Now i find this dash a PIA to set up -and i don't think i am alone the previous owner had left the clock at 00:00 Laughing

So is it really possible to get voltage and charge rate displayed?
And if so...is it accurate?

Jon, Voltage yes, charge rate no - well not unless they have hacked the dash, which I doubt.

Hello,

I have had one of the best battery chargers from CTEK MXS 5.0 for years.

There is also a loading traffic light display of these.
I have installed it on all of my motorcycles.
This is how I see the state of charge and the plug comes from the CTEK for 2 days.
Never remove the battery again ...

The dash displays Voltage on one of the 3 positions of the left hand selector switch
The time will go 00:00 any time the battery is disconnected.
