| Hello all Happy Saint Patricks Day Firstly a big thanks to everyone here that helped me with this C Kit conversion either directly with messages of info and direction or previous posts .I did it last weekend.. and have to say enjoyed doing it , The bike is nice to work on and thankfully all went smoothly . I was a bit daunted about having to pull the valves to shim them, but having prepped well with the posts here and Pete's tutorial it was actually an enjoyable weekend in the shed Everything fell back into place, new map next ....Lock down here so no hurry A few photos for what they are worth to someone in the future [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| Nicely done, I'm new to this forum and have just found out about this issue with our bikes. Now I'm wondering how to check to see if mine were ever done. Is there a quick way of doing this? I'm fortunate enough to have the 2011 GRiSO SE. Love the site. Thanks

| And be sure when you remove the plug cap to get the rocker cover off that you pry the cap up from underneath by using a long, thin, flat bladed screwdriver through the cooling tunnel in the head just above the exhaust manifold. Grabbing or prying from the top will damage them and lead you down a path of rending of garments and tearing of hair. If it's still a flat tappet bike take a picture of the inside of the rocker cover and post it up, (If you can't do this yet due to an insufficient post count send it to me direct at motomoda.roper gmail.com ) and I'll tell you what kit you require to rollerise. As a 2011 it will most likely need the cheapest option of a 'B' kit but I need a pic to be certain. | |
