Since sadly not riding now for nearly two weeks, (got taken out at the race track, few broken bones) I did manage a ride a few days prior, around a popular block of the South Island. a wee video of that, riding with a guzzi 1200 sport.

I went for a ride. Well, no, that is incorrect, I went for two rides.
First one was on the Sport as she just got new tyres (road 5 GTs). I love bikes with new tyres, they handle so nice.
The second one, I took the V85TT Travel for a spin, even put in petrol (First time - seems like a stretch is 500 km per tank, depending on riding - I think 400 is a safe bet)! A little over 400 km on it now. Seat is still a pain. I had fun though. Rode into a cool change (temp went from 23 to 18 and smelt like rain) and I could see rain ahead. I turned around and headed for home - the temperature started climbing again back up to 23.
EDIT And then it rained.
And then it was sunny again.
And then it rained.
Hell, it might even get sunny again.
Glad I went when I did...

Heading down to the Moto Grappa in a few minutes to pull the front wheel off the GRiSO so this Michelin Pilot Power can go on in place of the present done-its-duty MPR4GT.
Changed out the rear while on that mutton-running trip last week, then decided when back home that I should have done front, too. It seems -- i.e., code for "surely not, but could a new rear tire cause the front to go south more quickly?" -- that the "looked OK when I left and mid-trip" front tire, sure got ugly fast after the rear installed.
Anyway, I'll do the low-paid work of pulling the wheel and wait for the skilled techs -- Dr. John & Bob -- to do the No-Mar swap tomorrow.

You will like the pilot power. They don't wear well, but the grip is great. With your harem of bikes, shouldn't be a problem.

Yesterday, I scored my first victory with my No-Mar tire changer. OK, yes, I had help from Dr. John ...
That led to today, when -- with the help of my able assistant -- I reinstalled the front wheel with its new Pilot Power to match the one a Kentucky shop R&R'd on the rear during the mutton run.
Kathi saw I was posting that pic of her. She then insisted I say here that she keeps her cell phone in that little pink purse when she comes to the Moto Grappa because I am always telling her that tools, parts, fasteners, and more simply disappear there without explanation.

Left the GRiSO alone but finally got around to fixing the Velo Solex. The little French death trap now runs.

GRiSO and I attended the 16th Barbers Vintage Motorcycle Festival near Birmingham, Alabama. Burned up 475 miles of twisties in and around the Cheaha mountains (highest point in 'bama). 5 hours on my feet drooling after rows of old iron. Perfect weather and a few strange sights. Go GRiSO, or go home! Lol

get one. they're a hoot. top speed of around 22mph, evil handling, 220mpg. they made something like 9 million of them. spares, except for the very early ones, are easy to come by. cheap to buy.

Took my rear wheel to Cadre for balancing. Here's Enzo talking to a fellow who's about to do a test ride on a very nice black GRiSO: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Took the carc off to be inspected, as an unusual sound coming from it. Best be safe than sorry. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
